What Yoga Travel Repeat is about
Flowing through life, one destination at a time.
Behind the site is me, Sini.
30-something Finnish girl, who loves to explore the world, photograph and write spicy nomad thoughts and best travel tips.
I got tired of fast-paced social media, as it did not resonate with me anymore, so I decided to build my own slow travel corner of the internet.
I have a master's degree in Tourism Research and have always loved travel.
In recent years, however, I have noticed that short trips and being a "tourist" in a beach bed and one week in a destination type of travelling no longer gave as much as travel can offer.
I try to travel slowly, long and mindfully. For me, this means avoiding popular travel destinations and high season, and rather finding unique destinations and pleasant things to do instead of navigating from one tourist attraction to another.
This can mean staying longer in one destination, trying to understand the culture better and finding unforgettable experiences while traveling.
I am also a RYT-500 certified Yoga Teacher and I love nature. I will share travel destinations at this website yogatravelrepeat.com for wonderful yoga vacations and retreats.
Traveling broadens your mind and gives perspectives. However, many people arrive back home after a holiday in need of a holiday, if the trip is packed with sightseeing and navigating from tourist attraction to the next, but isn't the goal to return home from vacation relaxed? That's why I prefer slow travels, doing more yoga on the go and joining yoga retreats.
In my tourism studies, I focused on responsible tourism and yoga tourism. Although I am aware of the ecological disadvantages of tourism, I think it's not so black and white.
You can enjoy traveling in many different ways, and with the smallest choices you can have as much influence as it makes sense on an individual level, without sacrificing too much of the travel experience and quality. That's why I'm here - I want to help others make a better travel choices easily.
I've also been producing content for both my Instagram and my blog for quite some time and I've also worked with digital marketing, so it was high time I started sharing my knowledge more with you.
During my travels, I've seen wonderful places and learned a lot about it. I don't want to keep the hidden gems and knowledge to myself, but share it with all of you.
What's the point of keeping all my know-how a secret when people like you are looking for similar experiences?
My idea is to help make more informed travel choices easily.
My passion is slow and wellness travel. I believe that many others would also like to travel more mindfully or focus on wellness also during vacation, but don't know how or where to start.
